dear rain,
    i am sure that you once studied a lot of words and expressions in your college,because upon seeing those lovely expressions i can`t help recalling the day when i was in my college.We had a lesson of NEWS ENGLISH.i am so familiar with those words such as EXTRA,GRAPEVINE,KILL.HOT NEWS ,AFFAIR and so on .IT`S Really a hard time to remember all those words though they are very usefull.i think you shoud know some news agencys aroud the world,which you must try you best to remember in you school as well .for example.XINHUA NEWS AGENCY,TAS AGENCY,ETC,why not to write down and publish here?
    i also can`t help busting into laughing whlie looking through some articles which some net master have left here ,it seems that they just passed the CET-4. there is a sign that some words from the reference book such as TOP WAY 90,CET-4,6 OR sth else.they quit interesting,isnt`t it?
  by the way , i hope everyone write some words or expressions which are quite useful in the daily work,the more ,the better.

How to make ‘jiaozi’

Making the wrapper

Also called the "skin", the wrapper is the most difficult thing not only for foreigners but also many Chinese. You can buy them ready made at small groceries in residential areas and at some supermarkets. But, trust yourself, you can make them yourself at home.

The exact proportions are a matter of trial and error so we offer what we hope will be useful guidelines.

To make 50 wrappers:

2.5 cups flour (jiaozifen), available at all groceries and supermarkets

1.25 cups water

Instructions:

1. Mix the flour and water in a bowl into a dough.

2. Once the dough has been made, knead it thoroughly on a floured surface for several minutes, then set it aside for 30 minutes to make it more elastic.

3. Roll the dough into a long stick form and then make 50 small balls by hand. Press the balls flat and roll the circle of the flattened ball with a rolling pin.

The fillings:

Almost all kinds of meats and vegetables can be used to make the filling as you will probably have already discovered at restaurants. It is not unusual for those to carry 20 different kinds of jiaozi on the menu.

Typical fillings include pork with Chinese cabbage, pork with green leek and pork with green Chinese onion.
